Dhamma Sermon Programme
Among all the gifts taught in Buddhism, Dharma is the most important gift. Preaching and listening to sermons are acts of charity. Dimbulagala Aranya Senasanavasi monks conduct special sermons on the full moon day of every month to teach life and show the way to nirvana. Poya Day Programme
On every full moon day, poda programs are conducted with Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana as the center. Starting early in the morning and throughout the day, various devotions such as meditation, dharma preaching, dharma discussions, bodhi puja etc. are performed and you can also participate in those noble deeds.
Social Welfare Programs
Dimbulagala Rahulalankara Na Thero established as per the advice of Buddhaput Ma Piya Sarana Welfare Fund, various welfare activities are organized throughout the island. Meanwhile, for the needs of the venerable Lords and through youth clubs led by young people, Apawatte Vadala Matara Kitalagama Siri Seelalankara Na Thero gunanusmarana programs are organized. Religious programs, sports programs, welfare programs etc. are organized through Seelalankara Gunanusmarana Youth Clubs.
Dhamma Programs
Dhamma knowledge is imparted to a large group of children through Dhamma school held every Sunday at Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana. The Dhamma School is the educational institution that brings Dhamma closer to children since the past. Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana Dhamma School as well as Polonnaruwa District Dhamma School students are running scholarship programs with the advice of the Holy Father. Special evaluation programs will be organized for the students who win in the all-Ceylon Dhamma school student skill competitions, especially representing the Polonnaruwa district.
English Language Teaching Programs
An English language training program is being implemented every day for the novice monks who live in the Po/Dimbu/Sri Maha Kashyapa Maha Pirivene, which is run in the Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana. The main objective of this program is to develop the elements of writing, speaking, reading, listening and thinking in the English language and to produce a group of people who will preach to the world in the English language desired by the Lord. An Ayurvedic treatment center will be established at Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana, through which the resident monks of Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana, as well as local and foreign personnel, will be able to receive Ayurvedic treatment.
Drinking water bottling project
Under this program proposed to strengthen the Buddhaput Ma Piya Sarana Benevolent Fund, drinking water bottles are expected to be issued at a concessional price to the devotees who come to see the Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana on a daily basis and all the income from it will be credited to the Budduput Ma Piya Sarana Benevolent Fund.
Restaurant and Aranya Senasana Book House
The aim of this project is to provide clean local food in the morning, afternoon and night to the local and foreign devotees who come to visit the Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana. Also construction of a sales center for books written by Aranya Senasanadhipa Na Thero and other Theros and memorabilia (T-shirts etc.) related to Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana.
media unit
It is expected to establish online TV and radio channels through the Dimbulagala Media Unit for the purpose of live broadcasting of all programs (Dharma sermons, Pirith, Bodhi Puja, Poda programs etc.) conducted in the Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana. Also, socialization of programs conducted at Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana will be done through social media such as Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp.
